Kim Christensen DC, DACRB, CCSP, CSCS, CES, PES

Kim Christensen

Dr. Kim Christensen is director of Contemporary Chiropractic service team. Dr. Christensen has been practicing chiropractic for the past 30 years and has developed a national reputation for spinal and sports rehabilitation using conservate approaches.

His doctorate degree is from Western States Chiropractic College. He is the first chiropractic physician to also practice in a hospital setting at PeaceHealth Lower Columbia Region.

His patients include MD’s, surgeons, PA’s, Nurses and numerous health care providers. Dr. Christensen has served as a sports team chiropractor for many schools and universities in the Pacific Northwest. He has published numerous articles and has received many achievement and recognition awards, including having the Clark College soccer field named the ‘Kim Christensen Field’.

Dr. Christensen and his wife, Cathy, have two sons and a daughter including 4 grandchildren. He enjoys musical arranging and composing.

Keith Castilloux, D.C.

Dr. Keith Castilloux joined the Contemporary Chiropractic service team in June 2009.

Dr. Castilloux has been practicing Chiropractic for 25 years.  Initially he specialized in automobile and industrial injuries in Hawaii with an emphasis on active rehabilitation. Later he developed a family practice with an emphasis on education and self-empowerment.  His patients included MD’s, surgeons, Nurses and triathletes   He enjoyed a high level of success with extremity patients and athletes looking for that competitive edge.  His philosophy, “Every one of us has optimal heath with in waiting to be expressed but you need is a coach.  That what I do, together we can achieve your optimal health potential”.

His doctorate degree is from Life Chiropractic College.  Before moving from Hawaii, Dr. Castilloux owed and operated Kalihi Accident Clinic and Makiki Family Chiropractic Clinic for eighteen years providing quality care to the Oahu community.

Dr. Castilloux and his wife, Hiromi enjoy scuba diving and snow skiing together.  Dr. Castilloux also enjoys wind surfing and kite boarding amongst other recreational activities and strives for continuous improvement in all aspects of his life.




Shawn Hatch, D.C.

Dr. Hatch received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Southern Utah University and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Western States Chiropractic College.  He has also received training in the treatment of auto accident injuries and sports injuries. Prior to coming to Washington he practiced in a multidisciplinary spinal rehabilitation clinic and was one of the team chiropractors for a minor league baseball team and a semipro football team. He also spent 6 months practicing in Peru and is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Hatch played football, basketball, and baseball in high school. In his free time he likes basketball, golf, the guitar, gardening, hiking with his family, and serving in church activities.  He and his wife and are very involved volunteering for the Clara Jean Foundation.




Teah Adams, D.C.

Dr. Teah Adams has been a provider with Contemporary Chiropractic since 2009.  She uses a variety of evidence-based chiropractic techniques in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.  Her practice strongly emphasizes women’s care, and she is very passionate about treating a variety of conditions.

In 2002 Dr. Adams graduated from Ashmead School of Massage here in Vancouver, Washington.  She enjoyed practicing as a massage therapist and was astonished by how fast her clients improved with the addition of chiropractic treatment.  It was then she decided to further her education and offer more to her patients.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in general science at Portland State University and her doctorate degree in chiropractic at Western States Chiropractic College.  Prior to joining Contemporary Chiropractic, she practiced in New York City focusing on pain relief, the restoration of function, and improving the quality of life for those involved in motor vehicle and other accidents.  She is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, with whom she has personally lobbied in Washington D.C. for patient’s rights to chiropractic healthcare.  She strongly believes in holistic healing through chiropractic, nutrition, and a healthy lifestyle.  Her number one goal is to enhance optimal body function and to alleviate and prevent musculoskeletal ailments by using gentle evidence based chiropractic techniques that are tailored and individualized to each patient.

In her free time she stays active by participating in yoga, Pilates, and jogging.  She also enjoys other recreational activities such as playing her guitar, making soap, and reading.  She aspires to be an active participant in the community by volunteering and enrolling in a variety of community education classes.
